Drypoint, 1956, signed and inscribed "pour mon cher ami de Sariac Cannes le 22.1.57" in rainbow coloured pencil, a proof aside from the edition of 65 on the same paper, printed as a remarque beneath an engraving by Paul Lemagny included in Témoignage, on simili Japon supported on Rives paper, with full margins, sheet 560 x 380mm (22 x 15in)

The present work is dedicated to Maître Bacqué de Sariac, who was Picasso"s lawyer during many pivotal events in his life, including the lawsuits he brought against Francoise Gilot for her book,Life with Picasso, and her struggle to legitimize her children, Claude and Paloma.
