One Cent Life was an avant-garde publication that combined written works by Walasse Ting with contributed artworks by Pop and Abstract artists such as Roy Lichtenstein, Jim Dine, Joan Mitchell, Mel Ramos, Sam Francis and Andy Warhol, among others. This work, along with the Girl print from the same publication, was Lichtenstein"s first use of Ben-day dots, which would become his trademark.
Dimensions provided are of sight; work has not been examined out of mat. Work shows wear to left extreme edge where sheet has been separated from original double page spread along fold line. Areas of discoloration most notably to lower left quadrant, otherwise, work presents well. Matted measuring 19 x 16.875 inches.
