Description

Of circular form, decorated with medallions of the 12 animals of the East-Asian zodiac, six on each side, in kuromaki-e (black-on-black lacquer relief), the sides with scrolling foliage in gold hiramaki-e, the interior of nashiji and kinji, unsigned; with a wood netsuke of a tiger seated on a base, its eyes of mother-of-pearl; and a carnelian ojime.
