"REASON FOR THE TRIAL HELD IN THE CITY OF GRANADA.- before the illustrious Mr. MANUEL DOZ, president of his Royal Chancellery, Mr. PEDRO ANTONIO BARROETA Y ANGEL, former Archbishop of this diocese, and Mr. ANTONIO JORGE GALBAN, current successor in the miter, all of His Majesty"s advice: against various forgers of public deeds, sacred and profane monuments, characters, traditions, relics, and books of supposed antiquity" M.: Joachin ibarra, 1781. Sainz de Baranda". El pletio deals with the famous forgeries of antiquities carried out in Granada in the middle of the s. XVIII, with which it was intended to make Granada a second Rome. The work deals with the supposed Roman and Arab antiquities brought to light in the Alcazaba at the foot of the Albaicín.
