The Lapidary is the first book that came out of the workshop of Alfonso X el Sabio, in 1253; It is the first book written in Castilian prose and the first great scientific book to be written in the Iberian Peninsula, which deals with the beneficial or harmful qualities that 360 stones acquire due to the influence of the signs of the Zodiac and the position of the stars. . Profusely decorated on all pages with miniatures rich in color and invoice, in which constellations, stones and signs of the Zodiac abound. It is one of the greatest exponents of medieval art.
