An ISO and MC Group of 6 awarded to Captain Samuel Davenport Charles An ISO and MC Group of 6 awarded to Captain Samuel Davenport Charles, 10th (Service) Battalion Lincolnshire Regiment, late Lincolnshire Yeomanry. He was awarded the Military Cross for conspicuous gallantry on the Western Front, and was later awarded the Imperial Service Order for his work in civilian life as Principal of the Ministry of Town and Country Planning, comprising: Imperial Service Order, GVIR, in silver, gold and enamels by Elkington, bearing hallmarks for Birmingham dated 1949, Military Cross, GVR, British War and Victory Medals, 1914-1920 (Capt. S. D. Charles.) , Territorial Force War Medal, 1914-1919 (Capt. S. D. Charles. Linc. Yeo.) , Coronation Medal, 1902; the first two and last unnamed as issued, ISO and MC with reverse pins for wear, remainder officially impressed, medals loose, all with original cases or boxes of issue.
