"BOOK OF HOURS OF QUEEN MARÍA OF NAVARRE".- The original of which is preserved in the Biblioteca Nazionale Marciana, in Venice. 8th, full skin on board with a golden wheel, rosettes in the corners and a large central rose window. Ridge curdled with nerves. Golden counter-edges and silk endpapers. Case ed. with the same decoration as the enc., attached vol. of studies. Notarial act 448/987. It is the first book of hours painted in the Iberian Peninsula, and considered the first representative of cultural internationalism. Considered the work of Ferrer Bassa made between 1340 and 1342.
