Ferdinando Paër or addressed to Ferdinando Paër. Dated from 1770 to 1877. 84 pp. and 4 half pages. Various formats (from large folio to in-12). Pages numbered in pencil, the documents are fixed with glue dots, collector Gracian-Garros stamp on the documents.
This album is composed, among other things, of documents by Ferdinando PAËR (1771-1839), Autograph notes, signed autograph letters, score, make up the first 17 pages of this album. This set dates from 1829 to April 14, 1839. This set includes professional and personal correspondence (he discusses his health at length), a score entitled “Schevzo”. The letter numbered 17, dated December 3, 1838, addressed to “Monsieur de Garros” suggests the creation of this album “I am sending you herewith some othographs [...]”; MALIBRAN Maria (1808-1836) to Ferdinando Paër, autograph letter signed in Italian; BERTON Henri-Montan (1767-1844) to Ferdinando Paër, he asked him to help a mutual friend find his place as “Harmony Master”;
CHERUBUNI Louis (1760-1842) a letter and a score of the “Chorus of the air of Air d"Almanzor from the 2nd act of Abencevages”; SPONTITNI Gaspard (1774-1851) signed autograph note, about rehearsals; CHAMPEIN Stanislas (1753-1830) autograph signature on the back of a fee receipt for The Portrait [or The Wild Divinity] created in October 1870; LESUEUR Jean-François (1760-1837) autograph note signed “Le Chval Le Sueur” It attests to the good morality and abilities of Mr Perret that he “has been perfectly known to me for 25 years [...]”;
BERLIOZ Hector (1803-1869) 2 signed autograph letters and signed autograph note, Paris, April 12, 1859 and (s.l.). 4 pp. in-8 and in-12. On April 12 he apologized “[...] for very good reason, the party absolutely refused me musical consultations like the one you asked me for. [...]" on June 26, he apologizes and explains "I don"t have the courage to write; the nervous illness that is killing me is robbing me of all energy. I will be lying on the ground next to a piece of cannon loaded with grapeshot, aimed at the scum whose extermination you and I want, and I will not get up to set it on fire. [...]” ;
