"The way the Turbo RT procures effortless urge from a handful of revs is something you never quite get used to. The seamless urge and sublime smoothness of the four-speed auto, on the other hand, are addictive." - Autocar .

Capitalising on the essentially bespoke nature of its manufacturing, Rolls-Royce introduced a host of limited edition variations on the modern 'Blower Bentley' theme in the 1990s. One of the very last of these was the Turbo RT. Introduced in July 1997 on the previously optional, but now standard, longer wheelbase of the Bentley Turbo RL, the Turbo RT came with the 400bhp twin-turbo engine of the two-door Continental T installed and was outwardly distinguishable by a new mesh radiator grille and body-coloured bumpers with bright mesh inserts. Performance was breath-taking: with a top speed of 152mph (244km/h) the ultra-luxurious Turbo RT was one of the world's fastest four-door saloons, its 590lb/ft of torque humbling the Chrysler Viper V10 and endowing it with acceleration on a par with the most exotic of Italian supercars. Of course, the Bentley came with a price tag to match, costing £148,990 (approximately €170,000) in the UK when launched. One of the rarer of the modern 'Blower Bentleys', the Turbo RT was produced during 1997 and 1998 only, approximately 300 (including the Mulliner version) being made.

This right-hand drive, long-wheelbase Turbo RT was supplied by Jack Barclay in London and remained in the Home Counties for a while before coming to Hong Kong in 2018. The Bentley has very nice paintwork in dark green, while the Parchment leather interior is in similarly good order, with green carpets and green woollen over-mats to the front, all in excellent condition and showing little wear. The dashboard top roll is trimmed in Parchment and green, while the wood veneers and door cappings are all excellent. The car has an Alpine stereo system with an enhanced, high quality Quartorigo dual amplifier and Morel resolution supremo speaker system. The air conditioning works well.

In the boot there is a spare wheel with an extra spare Avon tyre (hard to come by in Hong Kong) together with two umbrellas and some factory accessories plus the aforementioned amplifier. The car also comes with an operation manual, stamped service book, small tools, full sets of keys and remotes, and Hong Kong 'MoT' until March 2022. The odometer shows a mileage total of circa 67,000.

Overall, the Bentley is in very good condition; driven regularly, privately owned by an enthusiast engineer, it has recently been serviced and comes with numerous receipts and a service book stamped while in the UK. In short: offered here is a fine, limited-edition motorcar, engineered and coach built to the highest standards and finished in an extremely nice colour scheme both outside and inside. An ideal end of season gift for either yourself or for a very fortunate friend, or family member.
